Eventually ADSL will be commonplace for consumers and millions of Australians will use ADSL, however in the first year or two the initial prices and coverage will limit the consumer take-up to users who have a passion for speed.

Business customers on the other hand will find ADSL immediately attractive in comparison to relatively expensive ISDN and Frame-Relay services. There are thousands of such services in Australia which are likely to migrate to ADSL.
